Why, hello.

I’ve been called a “word wizard,” which is a pretty great title for someone who spends an unreasonable amount of time rearranging sentences until they feel right.

Words have always been my thing.

I love a good story, a clever turn of phrase, and finding the words that make someone stop scrolling for a second. Whether I’m writing a feature about a fascinating local human, crafting website copy, dreaming up a marketing campaign, or deleting seventeen perfectly acceptable sentences to find the one that works, I believe good writing should make people feel something. Laugh. Think. Click. Keep reading.

For more than 15 years, I’ve bounced between journalism, editing, copywriting, digital marketing, and teaching. I’ve written for magazines, newspapers, businesses, nonprofits, schools, and brands, always with the same goal: find the story worth telling and tell it well.

A little bit of everything I love, all in one place.

This portfolio is a collection of work I’m proud of, projects that let me get creative, and a few examples of what happens when strategy meets a good story. I like writing that sounds like an actual human being wrote it, respects the reader’s time, and gives people a reason to care.

Thanks for stopping by. Take a look around, stay awhile, and if something here sparks an idea for working together, I’d love to hear from you.

After all, every good project starts with a conversation. And I’m always up for a good story.
